Little Havana News & Events

To find out what’s happening in Little Havana, there are a few places you can visit — both online and in person.

If you want to go the online route, join online groups/pages such as:

  • Little Havana News & Events – A Facebook group founded by Corinna Moebius, with news and events of interest (find and connect with neighbors, too).
  • NextDoor – a private online network that you join by sharing your address. Note that we do not agree with the names for mini-neighborhoods found in NextDoor, most of which were invented by real estate agents. The site does have a lot of useful content and discussions, however.

For events, you can also check out the websites for particular venues, or ticket sites for these venues. Some of these include:

* These venues have e-newsletters you can subscribe to

  1. Hi, I am with a group of people looking at coming to Little Havana. Can you tell me what events happen during the month of October so that I can choose a weekend? Thank you!

    • Hi Julia — For some reason I have not been receiving comments via email and I am just now discovering comments shared via my LittleHavanaGuide.com site. I assume you have already booked your tickets for a visit to Little Havana. If you are here for the last Friday of the month, we have a wonderful monthly festival called Viernes Culturales (Cultural Fridays), which takes place. On the second Friday of the month, we have an arts event centered around an arts center called Futurama 1637, at 1637 SW 8th St. (the famous Calle Ocho). If you are on Facebook, you can check out my Facebook group, Little Havana/La Pequeña Habana News & Events. If you let me know when you plan to visit, I’ll check to see what Little Havana events are taking place.
